ABOUT US
The Los Angeles Professional Chapter (EWB-LA) was established in the spring of 2005 and began with a Tsunami Reconstruction Project on the southeast coast of India after the December 2004 tsunami. EWB-LA currently has several domestic and international engineering projects, provides professional mentors for student chapters, and participates in the Los Angeles community through local outreach activities.

Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA) supports community-driven development programs worldwide by designing and implementing sustainable engineering projects while fostering responsible leadership.

EWB - USA
EWB-USA, founded in 2000 at the University of Colorado, is a volunteer non-profit organization that collaborates with communities globally to enhance their quality of life through sustainable engineering projects and community education. With professional and student chapters nationwide, EWB-USA emphasizes sustainability, community participation, and a minimum five-year commitment to each project. The organization partners with locally-based non-governmental organizations to ensure cultural sensitivity and effective on-the-ground assistance, embodying a commitment to socially conscious engineering and global awareness. EWB-USA is a registered 501(c)3 corporation.​
